Campaign: Summary of intolerance and violence against trans population
With terrible sorrow we notice how many cases of murders to trans people get in nothing and guilties are unknown in different parts of the World. We summarize reports made by Bulletin T-Informa in the last months and we complete with other cases that were informed by our regional collaborators.
Books: Transgender EuroStudy: Legal Survey and Focus on the Transgender Experience of Health Care

This investigation was made between July and December 2007. Mixed information was elaborated, qualitative and quantitative, about discrimination and inequitative experiences to 1,964 transsexuals and transgenders in health system in Europe (615 Tran’s men and 1,349 Tran’s women). The research includes thirteen countries and were requested the same number of translators for analysis of information.

This is a reflection about how the body is conceptualizing in its cultural and not biological dimension, to understand how Tran’s identity deconstructed the body.

Hi, I’m Andrés García Becerra, anthropologist and student of Master in Gender Studies in Colombia State University. I would like to contact with you, I’m working in my master thesis about transvestite and transsexuals in Bogota, I’m observing manner in which they build their bodies and gender identities, an also relation between gender identity and social marginalization and violence. I’m a trans and I want to star a hormonal treatment as soon as possible. I’m very interested in political action as trans and as anthropologist of gender, that is why I want to be in touch with you. Survey: Day against violence of trans population
¡No more crimes, no more marginalization, NO more violence!
Letters and petitions are not anymore a good manner to protest against this matters. We suggest a world action against violence to trans population, there is no possible that authorities continue deniging to identify this crimes as hite crimes, because all this deaths are consecuense of marginalization and discrimination.
Also, there is not only murderes, it is hits without a reason (
as just happen in Memphis
), it is imagines that are part of the newspaper press, and also part of tvshows, in which trans population is make fun, is the thinking that said they are trush, all that is why are murdered, violented and suffer of injustice.
