"Building ILGA Africa", first regional conference of ILGA in Africa - Johannesburg May 5 - 8, 2007

With over 560 member groups, the International Lesbian and Gay Association – ILGA is the only worldwide federation of groups working to achieve equal rights for Lesbians, Gay men, Bisexuals and Transgendered persons. It has been organising gatherings of LGBT activists for the last 29 years. After its 19th World Conference held in Johannesburg in 1999, the federation will hold its second meeting in Africa. It will be ILGA's first regional conference in Africa.

Pan Africa ILGA is the African Region of the International Lesbian and Gay Association (ILGA). It gathers 41 organizations throughout the region working for human rights and equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and intersex people.
