Come to the conference
Around 150 LGBT activists from all over Asia including about 100 from Thailand and Burma are expected to participate in this conference. At present, there are 64 LGBT organizations that are members of ILGA-ASIA. Special attention will be given to equal representation of women and transgender persons. The conference is not exclusive to LGBT-identified individuals but is open to all people who support the rights of all gender and sexually marginalised groups.
The conference is open to people of all sexual identities and orientations supportive of LGBT issues and concerns in Asia. ILGA’s conferences are traditionally open to all, members or non members of ILGA. Activists can either fund their participation by their own means or apply for a scholarship. Groups decide themselves which person should represent them at the conference, including which person should apply/benefit from a scholarship.
